The Northeast Kingdom Byway crosses a landscape shaped by ancient geologic forces, glaciers and erosion. Today the corridor is known for rolling hills, rising mountains, pristine lakes, thick forests, lush pastures, meandering streams, picturesque villages, historic buildings and enduring farmsteads.

The byway connects Saint Johnsbury, Lyndon, East and West Burke, Westmore, Charleston, Derby and Newport. Along the way are four-season recreation, dining and lodging, classic Vermont architecture, farmland, art, unique shops, entertainment and year-round events.
