Named for Molly Stark, wife of General John Stark, the Molly Stark Scenic Byway crosses the Green Mountains on Route 9. The road links historic communities with Green Mountain National Forest, hiking trails, state parks, winter recreation, lakes, streams and waterfalls.

The byway travels Route 9 between Brattleboro and Bennington, passing through Green Mountain National Forest. Brattleboro, Wilmington and Bennington are key towns, with Woodford providing a memorable high-elevation stop.
