Stowe Mountain Resort is an internationally renowned four-season destination. Surrounded by majestic Mount Mansfield—the highest peak in Vermont—and Spruce Peak, Stowe is filled with activities and adventures for every season and every guest. Looking to make the most of your next trip to Stowe? Read on for tips to plan an unforgettable ski vacation in Stowe, Vermont.

Stowe. A World Of Its Own.

At Stowe Mountain Resort last year, we celebrated replacing the Mountain Triple with the Sunrise Lift, a high-speed, detachable six-passenger lift that originates in the Mansfield Base Lodge parking lot – allowing guests unbeatable, direct access to Vermont’s highest peak. The Sunrise Lift enhanced the resort experience with increased uphill capacity by 100 percent, eliminating the steep hike to the base of the former lift, plus improved reliability on windy days and direct access to beginner and intermediate terrain choices. The Sunrise Lift was part of Vail Resorts’ 2022-23 Epic Lift Upgrades at 12 resorts across North America. This was Vail Resorts’ biggest single-year investment into the ski and snowboard experience, nationwide. “The Sunrise Lift is the first-ever six-passenger chairlift for Stowe, which has been home to many lift innovations and firsts throughout our 86-year history,” said Bobby Murphy, former general manager of Stowe Mountain Resort and now VP/GM of Vail Resorts’ property Beaver Creek Resort in Colorado.

The East is Epic

Vail Resorts also continues to offer the Epic Day Pass, which allows guests access to world-class resorts at pre-season pricing for up to 65 percent off when compared to a lift ticket. The Epic Day Pass is perfect for those who plan to ski and ride from 1-7 days throughout the winter season. In effect, skiers and riders can build their own pass and also choose Epic Flex Pay as a convenient payment option. Compare all Epic Pass offerings on the Epic Pass website. And keep in mind – Epic Passes make it easier than ever for those new or revisiting the sport, with Epic Mountain Rewards for 20 percent off food, group ski and ride school lessons, equipment rentals and more.

#NextStopStowe

The 2023-24 winter season will see the return of our tiered parking program including a mix of complimentary and paid parking, carpooling incentives, and increased public transit. Our goal is to do our part to help alleviate congestion on the Mountain Road leading to the resort and to give our guests a variety of arrival options. All paid parking is managed through Interstate Parking via the website, parkstowe.com.

All season long starting November 24, 2023 until March 31, 2024, Green Mountain Transit offers a complimentary bus service, the Mountain Road Shuttle, from downtown Stowe, up Mountain Road, and to several stops around Stowe Mountain Resort.
