Guided tours are a great way to experience the Stowe area from a friendly, local perspective. Savor Vermont has been bringing locals and tourists alike around Vermont to taste the region’s best beers, hard ciders, wines, spirits, and foods since 2015.

Savor Vermont offers a variety of themed tours throughout the area and the best part is you don’t have to worry about driving, because they take care of it all.

Whether you’re looking for a fun activity as a group or you’re a connoisseur in the craft beverage space, Savor Vermont offers a truly tasty Vermont experience. Not a big drinker? There are non-drinker rates available for booze tours as well as non-alcohol related tours.

Tad Davis, the tasting tour manager with Savor Vermont, provided some of his favorite things to do around town in honor of the 40th anniversary of National Travel and Tourism Week. Outdoor enthusiasts will love Tad’s picks

Savor Vermont tours are the perfect group activity for both locals and visitors.

Q: What makes the Stowe area a destination for travelers?

A: Stowe is a paradise for outdoor pursuits including biking, hiking, rock/ice climbing, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, canoeing, kayaking, standup paddle boarding, golfing, hunting and fishing. We also have great food, drinks and lots of scenery to enjoy.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do in the Stowe area and why?

Personally, I really enjoy mountain biking in the summer, skiing/riding in the winter and the food and drinks year round.

Q: What is your favorite season in Vermont and why?

I think that fall is everyone’s favorite season here, for good reason. The incredible scenery definitely makes it the busiest time of the year.

Q: Tell us a little about your business. How long have you been part of the Stowe community?

A: Savor Vermont was originally called Stowe Tasting Tours when it was created as part of Umiak Outfitters almost ten years ago and has been offering booze tours in the area ever since. The name was changed when it became an independent company to reflect the growth into new markets within the state as well as expanded tour offerings such as our Taste of Vermont food tour.

Q: What does travel forward mean to you, your business and your community?

A: Here at Savor Vermont, travel forward means sharing our love of Vermont with tourists and locals alike.
